تعلن القوائم المختصرة لأوسكار 98 في عدة فئات
المتحف السينمائي:
شارك أعضاء من مختلف فروع أكاديمية فنون وعلوم الصور المتحركة في التصويت الأولي في فئات متعددة، تشمل: فيلم الرسوم المتحركة القصير، والفيلم الوثائقي الطويل، والفيلم الوثائقي القصير، والفيلم الروائي العالمي، والفيلم الروائي القصير، والمكياج وتصفيف الشعر، والموسيقى التصويرية الأصلية، والأغنية الأصلية، والمؤثرات الصوتية والبصرية. ويشهد هذا العام أيضاً إطلاق القوائم المختصرة لأول مرة في فئتي اختيار الممثلين وأفضل تصوير سينمائي.
